Iconic Female Athletes: Poster

Here is a poster I created featuring just a few of all the amazing iconic female athletes out there!
The order of this women has absolutely nothing to do with anything other than where they are on the poster. All 5 of them are incredible women for us to look up to equally.
First: Billie-Jean King, a 39-time grand slam championship winner! It's honestly hard (for me, at least) to think about female athletes without thinking about her. Not only was she extremely successful in tennis, but she has also paved the way for equality in the realm of female athletics.
Second: Katie Ledecky. The amount of times I heard this extremely talented lady's name this summer was insane! It brought so much joy to my soul to see how many people were rooting for her and appreciating her incredible skill. Katie Ledecky has won 9 Olympic gold medals, which I chose to feature on this poster because I adored watching her tear up the water last summer in Paris. I can't wait to continue to cheer her on in all her future accomplishments, which I imagine will be plentiful!
Third: Simone Biles, the GOAT. The most decorated gymnast in history, with 30 world championship medals. What an inspiration for female athletes everywhere!
Fourth: Diana Nyad, who swam unaided from Cuba to Florida at age 64. The amount of women who think it is "too late" to pursue athletic potential absolutely breaks my heart. Who says? Set your goals and chase them, ladies, no matter your age.
Fifth: Allyson Felix, the most decorated track and field athlete in history. She is a very unique inspiration, because while she is an extremely talented athlete, she also navigated pregnancy and motherhood during career. She has advocated for the support and understanding that you can be a mother and and elite athlete. Thank you, Allyson Felix, for showing us that we can truly and confidently do it all.
Please feel free to print out this poster for your own personal use! I designed it for us to hang in our space to have a constant reminder of what is possible, and to spark motivation and inspiration for female athletes everywhere.
